After a panel has been established and composed, the dispute settlement process enters into another phase. Various role players and stakeholders – mission delegates in Geneva, government lawyers, external counsels, and particularly for TBT disputes, technical experts, as well as non-state actors - need to work in synchronized fashion, with the capital conducting the often resource-intensive orchestra. This session will discuss practical aspects of litigation management in handling disputes that generally deal with technical barriers to trade.
